Viet Nam Young Logistics Talents is a contest organized by the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association with the support of the Import-Export Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade. With the mission of finding high-quality human resources for Vietnam's logistics industry, this is a prestigious and quality playground for young people who are passionate about the field to have the opportunity to practice real problems and improve their expertise as well as have the opportunity to interact with businesses in the industry.

Overview of the CTU Selection Round of VNYLT 2021

The Can Tho University (CTU) selection round was organized by the Department of International Business, School of Economics, Can Tho University with the support of the academic club – COMMANDO, which belongs to the Department. The aim of this round is to select the best and talent students, who will be the representative of CTU to compete at the national round. Round 1 - The National Preselect Round took place in July 2021, Can Tho University was honored to have 11 teams participating in the competition. All 11 teams qualify all criteria to enter the next round – the CTU Selection Round. Due to some personal reasons, there were 2 teams that withdrew from the contest. Therefore, there were finally nine teams participating the tournament in this round.

The CTU Selection Round officially took place on September 12^th, 2021 with the participation of delegates and guests from the organizers of Vietnam Young Logistics Talents 2021, Mobifone (the sponsor), professionals who are leaders of centers, departments, institutes, schools and departments of Can Tho University, and academic advisors of the teams and lecturers of the Can Tho university.

The Jury of the CTU Selection Round consists of 5 members who are lecturers and reputable experts in the field of Logistics. The jury enthusiastically reminded and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the participating teams, thereby advising and guiding the team members on the necessary elements to promote the strengths and get rid of the limitations of themselves and of the group. Those are valuable lessons that help the contestants to acquire new practical knowledge and improve their own understanding of the Logistics industry from the forerunners.

The competition took place in two main parts, the Multiple Choice Part, which took place from 9 a.m to 10 a.m; and the Video Project Presentation Part took place from 1:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m. In the Multiple-choice test, 09 teams successfully completed their test through the Kahoot application. Regarding the Video Project Presentation part, the participating teams took turns in the order of the draw. After each video, there were some questions asked by the Jury for the team to answer.

Through the two parts, the final result of the third prize is the LADY BEES with a total score of 7.49; the second prize was awarded to the TLC with 7.54 points and the Light Chasers team excellently won the first prize with a total score of 7.75. The members from these teams will be selected to participate the national round in October and November, 2021.

In general, the CTU Selection Round has achieved its stated purpose, which is to help young people who are passionate about Logistics have the opportunity to face real problems, at the same time improve their professional knowledge, and have the opportunity to interact with leaders and experts in enterprises operating in Logistics. Furthermore, the competition created conditions for students to show their own abilities, teamwork skills and teamwork spirit. In particular, the number of candidates registering to participate this year has increased significantly, proving that the contest has spread and more and more attracts students, especially the Economics ones. The participating teams have carefully invested and prepared from the content to the form of the competition, so the members of each team have smooth coordination and support for each other to successfully complete the tasks. This has also shown the solidarity and determination of each member in particular and the teams in general. Viet Nam Young Logistics Talents is a playground that promises to come back even more attractive in the coming seasons.
