Department of Economics is one of nine specialized departments of College of Economics, Can Tho University. Department of Economics is not only in charge of training Economics major for undergraduate and master students but also responsible for teaching most of the general subjects of College of Economics supporting for the other departments. .
TRAINING PROGRAM FOR BACHELOR DEGREE

1. Training Objective
To train bachelors of economics to have capacity, attitude and professional knowledge that meets the societal needs, business and economic development orientation.

- Of which: Total required credits: 91credits

5. The process of training, graduation requirements
-The process of training: according to regulations on educational affairs for regular students who study at university and college level issued on 27/08/2010 by the Rector of Can Tho University.

+ Accumulating enough modules and the amount of stipulated credits in the curriculum
+ Cumulative GPA of modules has to reach at least 2.00
+Do not be prosecuted for criminal responsibility and not be disciplined at the suspension level in the last school year.

1. Training Objective
To train Economics master students to become scientists and managers with good specialisation in economic methodology and practical capacity. The aim is also to enhance students’ research capability, the ability of realising and solving problems in science; guide students on how to make scientific research of Economics major.

To perform regulations according to circular No. 15/2014 / TT-05 BGDĐT issued on May 15th 2014 by the Ministry of Education and Training. The entrance subjects are: basic subject, core subject and foreign language.
