PARTICIPATING IN THE STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

AT YUAN ZE UNIVERSITY – TAIWAN

On May 6^th– 10^th, 2023, the School of Economics (CSE) – Can Tho University organized a short-term exchange trip for 20 students with excellent academic achievements to Yuan Ze University, Taiwan. Yuan Ze University is a private university of the Far Eastern Group. Yuan Ze University was established in Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 1989. The university is in the top 12 in Taiwan, with more than 9000 students studying. In addition, the university is also ranked by the Association for the Development of Collegiate Business Teaching (ACCSB),  ranked 1000+ world universities in 2020 by Times Higher Education, and ranked 251-300 by Times Higher Education Young University in 2020.

During the tour at YZU, CSE students participated in an introductory lesson about Virtual Production, one of the most advanced and significant technologies in all types of content creation. In addition, they had a chance to try new beer products developed by YZU students and learn about cutting-edge technology models. In particular, on the last school day of the trip, CSE students were scheduled to visit Far Eastern Enterprises and move to Hsinchu City to visit the Science Park Discovery Museum, an interactive space designed to showcase the latest advances in robotics technology.

Accompanying 20 excellent students selected from the School of Economics, there were also two lecturers leading the delegation, Mrs. Le Tran Thien Y – Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Business, and Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh – Lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration, who participated in this exchange program. In addition to the schedule of leading a group of students to study at YZU, the lecturers also had a meeting with Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the School of Economics (CSE) and Can Tho University (CTU) levels, marking the official cooperation relationship between CSE and one more university partner in Taiwan.

The short-term exchange program at Yuan Ze University in Taiwan in May 2023 not only helps the students of the School of Economics access the international educational environment, cultivate knowledge and enhance cultural exchanges, but it also gives students dear experiences that help improve their academic and life skills, especially communication, presentation, and foreign language skills. Furthermore, the exchange program also helps to cement the friendship and cooperation between the School of Economics (CSE) with Yuan Ze University (YZU) and Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT). Although the trip was not long, it left all the delegation members with lasting impressions and a lot of lovely memories./.
