ABOUT FACULTY OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT (FTHM)

The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management (FTHM) is a member of the School of Economics, Can Tho Univerity (CSE, CTU), founded in August of 2013. The FTHM has offerred its cohort bachelor program since the academic year 2001-2002 as a minor in Business Administration program. Over 20 years of implementing study programs of tourism and hospitality industry at different activities: professional, short-training, and research practices, the FTHM is currently recognized as one of the leading institutions in the field of higher tourism and hospitality management in Viet Nam.

We are now implementing undergraduate (Bachelor) program of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Vietnamese (3.5-4 year, standard program) and a 4-4.5 year high-quality program with fundamental and THM courses taught in English.  After 5 first semesters of the THM program, students follow some THM-disciplined courses which are organized in form of practical activities in industry, as such: field trip, destination/project-based assignments, internship, and apprenticeship in the country and abroad.

Becoming a leading institution in offering training courses, consultant services and research in tourism and hospitality field that aims to provide future managers and practicers who are equipped with professional level of knowledge, practical skills, and career awarenesses to succeed in global business envionment.  

 

MISSION

The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the School of Economics (CSE) offers distinguished study and professional programs in tourism and hospitality management by bringing an intellectual, collaborative, ethical, and inclusive environment for learner, staffs, industry community in the Mekong River Delta region and in Viet Nam.
