CSE WITH ALMUNI GATHERING IN CA MAU
One of the traditional activities of School of Economics (CSE) is to exchange, visit, support. and cooperate with its fellow alumni of CSE. On February 25th and 26th, 2023, CSE held a alumni gathering and activities in Ca Mau. The leader from CSE was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Khuong Ninh, Rector of CSE. The participants from CSE included members of the Rectorate, deans of faculties, leaders of labor unions, and youth unions.

Welcoming the delegation of CSE were alumni of CSE from Ca Mau province represented by Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan (Ca Mau Provincial Tax Department), Mr. Nguyen The Chau (Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Office), and Ms. Le Nhi Bao Ngoc (Ca Mau Investment Promotion and Enterprises Support Center - iPEC). The group southbounded to Dat Mui located in the World Biosphere Reserve of Ca Mau Cape recognized by UNESCO in May 2009.

The group visited the national coordinate marker, the symbol of Ca Mau Cape, the southernmost end of the country. The national coordinate identification at GPS0001 (Km0) is one of the four poles marking the sacred sovereignty of Vietnam's territory on the mainland. The group then attended to worship Lac Long Quan and Au Co, then moved to the rich and diverse mangrove ecosystem.

The most special part of this activity was the friendly football match between CSE staff and CSE alumni association in Ca Mau. Both teams played with high sportsmanship with applauses from fans for both sides. Ca Mau province's alumni team won with a score of 4-3.

Besides, the group also had a chance to talk with Ca Mau writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu, who has specific southern writing style and a soft but poignant voice about lives and sinking fates. She is famous for the rural special style in her works, imbued with the love of the village, the land, and honest and kind people but more or less unlucky.

Besides the friendly football match, the Ca Mau Alumni Association also held an intimate meeting with cordial friendship. The teacher-student relationship was warm, the handshakes were joyful. This is a chance for CSE alumni and staff to sit side-by-side, talking about nostalgic days.

The traditional meeting of CSE staff and the alumni in Ca Mau has been extremely meaningful with many activities in order to enhance the relationships and cooperation between CSE and its alumni. The meeting in Ca Mau province was followed alumni meetings in Dong Thap province and Kien Giang province. The next alumni activities are planned for alumni associations in Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Tien Giang, and Ben Tre provinces.
