ISAG - EUROPEAN BUSINESS SCHOOL PROFESSORS VISIT
THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS - CAN THO UNIVERSITY
On the afternoon of May 19th, 2022, the School of Economics (SoE) - Can Tho University (CTU) hosted a meeting with Prof. Elvira Pacheco Vieira, General Director, and Dr. Catarina Sousa Lopes, Head of International Cooperation at the ISAG - European Business School.
European Business School is a private polytechnic higher education institution founded in 1979 and located in the city of Porto (Portugal), with more than 40 years of history and tradition in higher education, guided by a high quality teaching and an innovative position. The school offers 5 undergraduate programs and 2 master’s programs with approximately 1,100 students.
On the SoE side are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Khuong Ninh – Dean of SoE, along with SoE leaders including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Anh Tu – Vice Dean of SoE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Dut – Head of International Business Department, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Le Thong – Head of Agricultural Economics Department.

At the meeting, SoE and European Business School mutually exchanged information about the two units, an overview of education and training activities, as well as research ones on both sides in order to approach further collaboration initiatives in the near future. The two sides agreed to have practical activities to continuously develop cooperation, thereby promoting research capacity, exchanging lecturers and students.
On the side of European Business School, Prof. Elvira expressed her wishes to deepen cooperation with the School of Economics in terms of double degree training, student exchange, research activities, and other mutually beneficial cooperations.

Also on this occasion, the School of Economics held an international seminar entitled "International Economy – A comparison between Portugal and Vietnam" by Prof. Elvira. The contents of the Seminar is to emphasize the importance of international trade in the current trend of integration and globalization.
In addition, the Seminar is also a special opportunity for students majoring in International Economics in particular and students of SoE in general to have a multi-dimensional view of the international economy between Vietnam and other countries in the world. The seminar successfully attracted more than 100 lecturers and students interested in the field of international economics.
