MOU SIGNING CEREMONY WITH MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL

On April 19^th, 2023,  the MOU signing ceremony between the School of  Economics CSE and Marriott International’s Vietnam and Cambodia Business Council took place at the Sheraton Can Tho Hotel.

On the CSE side, there was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Le Khuong Ninh – CSE Rector, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Truong Huy – Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Assoc. Prof. Ngo My Tran – Vice Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, lecturers, and students.

On the Marriott International side are Mr. Goetz Bauer – Cluster General Manager of Marriott International Vietnam, and  Mr. Le Hoang Vu – General Manager of Sheraton Can Tho and HR staffs of  Marriott International in Vietnam.

The MOU signing ceremony with Marriott International is expected to open up cooperation opportunities between two sides that brings benefits for the CSE’s students in major of the tourism and hospitality management (THM) regarding career skill development and internship program at more than 16 hotels of Marriott International in Vietnam.

Under this significant event, Marriott International hosted a program of Pre-Event Games dedicated to students from colleges and universities offering the academic program of hospitality management and tourism in Can Tho city. The main goal of this activity was to warmly welcome the students to visit, study and intern at some operations of the Sheraton Can Tho. Out of participating teams, 4-student THM team from the CSE had expressed their efforts and reached at the Second Runner up in the game.
